Gavin is an experienced finance professional with over 20 years in the business-to-business finance market. Having worked for major finance companies including BNP Paribas Lease Group and Hitachi Capital Business Finance, he established Gavin Dixon Finance Solutions Ltd in 2013. Specialising in tailored finance solutions, Gavin supports businesses across agriculture, construction, haulage and engineering — with a deep understanding of each sector's individual requirements.
Gavin Dixon Finance Solutions is an independent business finance broker based in Bridport, Dorset. We were founded in 2013 with a simple aim: to give UK businesses access to the same quality of funding advice that larger companies take for granted — without the jargon, the delays, or the one-size-fits-all approach.
We are a small, specialist team with deep experience across agricultural finance, commercial vehicles, asset finance, business loans, and property finance. We are not tied to any single lender, which means our only interest is finding the deal that works best for you.

We operate as a credit broker, not a lender. That means we search our panel of 30+ specialist lenders on your behalf, manage the application, and handle the paperwork — while you get on with running your business.
We are paid a commission by the lender when a deal successfully completes. Where a broker fee is applicable, it will always be agreed with you in writing before you proceed.

Before joining, he spent 23 years in the dairy industry — including roles managing logistics, large warehousing teams, and product selection for major UK supermarkets and export customers — giving him direct links into both the agricultural and haulage sectors.
Finance Specialist
Christian brings a background rooted in agriculture, gamekeeping and construction to his role at GDFS. His hands-on experience across farming and land management gives him a genuine understanding of the challenges facing rural and agricultural businesses seeking finance.
